Those that needed love killed love
Yet the love they killed keeps loving them
We shed the blood of love
Yet stains of the blood of love cleanse us
The love we did great injustice against
Keeps speaking mercy and justice for us
We break all laws, destroy images of love
Abuse the likenesses of love
Desecrate the institutions of love
Yet love gives us rest at night
And wakes us up in the morning.
With the breathe of love,
We strive daily to silence the voice of love
Yet the silence of love is louder than our amplified foolishness
I still can’t fathom what manner of love
That love has bestowed on loveless us
That even in our rebellions love loves us
With an immeasurable dimensions of love
How far can we ever run away from love?
We are mere clay
And our farthest distance is still the potter’s house
So we surrounder to love.
