I told you all that this is a very special birthday to me. It’s very special for so many reasons, some of which may seem a little fictional to some of you (and is okay. Just take the ones you are able to and ignore the ones too deep or fictitious). 

Be informed that this is one of my lightest write-ups and so put on your “laughing cap” even though it may not necessarily be funny. 

On the intellectual side, It’s the end of a phase in my life and beginning of another (interpret what I say to mean what you think👌 but I KNOW WHAT I MEAN 🌟)

On the physical side, it’s my first ever birthday to not actually cut a cake. Intentionally, but it all worked out as divinely orchestrated (no much details here, contact me directly if you are curious). 

Realistically, it is the first birthday ever that I will be almost completely invisible to people. Will probably receive zero phone calls and will not respond to any congratulatory messages or emails within the day. [I actually didn’t – update]. 

On a symbolic side, it’s the first ever birthday that I will receive a “pre-birthday” cake and was presented to me by my Chinese co-worker. I think it’s far too symbolic. It is actually a #MoonCake packaged in a contextualized Ring💍 Box [whatever Moon and Ring have in common is up to you to figure out]. 

On a fun side, it’s the first ever birthday to not think about school even though I’m still a virtual student. 

      Interestingly, I actually had a “Pre-birthday Photoshoot” and I strongly believe it was the best Photoshoot I have ever had in my life. Caleb did an amazing job of capturing me in the culturally transcendental outfit. Check it out http://wp.me/p7J0WO-eB
