The Things I See

The things I see

Eyes have not seen

Ears have not heard

A new identity is needed

Rather, a renewed identity

One only love can give

And only love can preserve

.

The things I see

Mouth cannot tell

They’re unlawful to utter

Not that they’re unlawful

They just don’t appeal to the senses

They are the unrefined gold

Stored in a deserted building.

.

The things I see

They scare me to death

But are the reason for my living

The dream of promised land in the land of captivity

A million kids with all identity going to school

From the land of hopelessness

.

The things I see

A vision beyond human percipience

But with your renewed identity

You can catch the glimpse and refine the gold

And from the land of hopelessness

Love, faith and hope fill the nations.

Dead To The Fear of Death

What is stronger than death if we will all die?

How strong is death if its part of life?

If we will die someday why should we be afraid of death?

Yet, we will not all die because One died for us all

He paid the prize so we will all become change for Him

We are dead to the fear of death

Death died before we were even born

And we resurrected with the power over death

Immortality is brought back to light

So let us let our lights so shine before men

That they see our fearlessness over death

And glorify the One who paid the prize

For death has no power over the risen

Happy Victory Life

FACE THE SUN

Two close friends sat under the Sun

One got sunburn

The other got vitamin D

Is the Sun partial?

No! She’s fair not human

What makes the difference?

Their relationship with the solar system

Or simply put, their distance from the equator.

Now you see that

The race is not to the switch

Nor battle to the strong

But distance and relationship happen to them all.

Since your relationships matters

What is your relationship with the Son?

Are you building your relationship with the Son

Or you’re busy chasing everything under the Sun?

Because when all said and done,

When you follow the road all runners go

And your purse cannot save your pulse

You will get to face your source

And the only thing that will matter

Will be your relationship with the Son

Give your life to Jesus today

And your faith will guide your fate.

You Bastard!

We are all here claiming and professing to be from the royal family because we know the King’s name or by adoption through the son’s blood.

Hopefully when the son comes shining like the stars he won’t call us bastard because we missed the way by following our ways.

May we not live like our ancestors who were exiled from the kingdom for their ill-doings. But rather be like our forefathers who were enshrined into the kingdom despite their wrongdoings. Amen!

COMPETE WITH YOUR FUTURE

When you know your unique worth and value you will have no fear of competition because nobody can actually compete with you. You are uniquely crafted and gifted in a way that it is absolutely impossible to replicate. Your timeline and sequence of events are completely personalized and so there is no need trying to compete with anyone else. Your priority is to identify your mission/purpose in life and fight to accomplish it.

If you want want to compete, go compete with your ancestors. If you win, you are a local champion. Meaning that you are legitimately a failure. Don’t even think of competing with your peers, co-workers or friends because you DON’T have any close substitute or equal. Even your identical twin has a completely different mission and timeline on earth.

People say “strive today to be better than your yesterday”. I say “if you are just better today than your yesterday, then you’re a failure because you are still living in your past glories”. Like, thank GOD for those stuffs and more on. I know the idea is never to have a better yesterday but my point is never to live in yesterday.

If you want true competition, dream of the person you want to be in 5, 10 years and start competing against them with the resources you have now.

This is what I call competition because naturally, you will have access to more and better information, resources, network and skills 5-10years from now than what you currently have. And so it will be a real challenge to compete with them. And don’t just say it today and abandon it a few weeks after like your new year resolution.

So what do you want to become or where do you want to be in 5-10years time?
Take out time away from the disturbance and enjoyment of the moment to think, plan and reflect on your life and destiny. Travel out of your current community or locality if need be. You need a quiet time to communicate with GOD, yourself and your future. Maybe take a fast from food or even social fasting. Take a walk in the park. Collect your church key/access and go there during non-service hours and days. Visit a place where you have access to more natural environment or just wake up in the night, observe the serenity of environment and the ‘interaction’ in the firmament. Read some books or autobiographies about some of the people and or public figures that you inspire you.

Take your writing (or drawing or recording) materials along. Write down your thoughts, feelings, observations, questions and revelations.
Then asked yourself what skills, attitude, behavioral modification or resources you think are necessary to actualize this dream?

Then, take out time to evaluate your writings, recordings or drawings. Scale it and challenge yourself to start making the adjustment to pattern your life after your new vision. Here, remember to speak of practical and realistic facts using the SMART Goal Principle – Be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound.

A daily, weekly, monthly and ultimately, yearly target
Then begin the actual competition (against your future self) as if it’s a sport for a prize. Set up a reward system for yourself to keep you motivated.

The most fascinating thing about this write- up is that I don’t have it all figured out yet and so I am speaking to myself too.

THIS IS MR.CHRISLOVE™

INSPIRATION: MY next goal after putting the sonnet in my closet is to write a #Limerick, challenging myself to to explore the different poetic forms. The biggest challenge is that limerick is a 5-line poem with a rhyme scheme AABBA which has an introduction to a person or character, their battles and a concluding line that shows some sort of triumph or current situation.

This then presents an excellent opportunity to summarize my one-generation on the planet and as a precious clay in the hand of no mean potter in 5 lines.

THIS IS MR.CHRISLOVE™

I know a young man called MR.CHRISLOVE

Born and raised Christian yet without Love

Spent adolescence as an alcoholic

Bullied into low self-esteem, rejection and vitriolic

Grown up to be a teetotaler, community leader, inspired writer, and an ambassador of Love.

I WILL WAIT

INSPIRATION: We live in a very fascinating, fast pace world. Everyone wants to be wealthy, famous, influential and married asap. Everybody wants quick-fix, stress-free solutions to everything. We are blessed with advanced technologies and the social media that is literally taking away interpersonal social interaction. With the likes of drive-thru, microwave, social media billionaires, everything is moving really fast. The virtues of patience and hard work seem to be fading away but we are here to reiterate, reinstate and reinforce it.

I WILL WAIT

The clock is ticking so fast

Yet I will wait for the Lord’s time

For everything under the Sun, there is time

Everyone and everything is going very fast

Microwave, drive-thru, smart phones, social media, all seem fast

Yet the silent voice says the best is God’s time

The vision is for an appointed time

So though the vision tarry yet will I hold fast

Those that wait upon the Lord

A renewed strength and wings they received for the fall

For within a night, a child is swiftly conceived today

But it takes 9months to have the child’s naming ceremony and dedication to the Lord

So I will wait while planning and executing, and not waiting for windfall

Because tomorrow is only tomorrow to those who plan and execute today.

HER HEART ❣️

INSPIRATION: I wrote this poem specifically for my beloved sister and friends who are God fearing, educated, hard working, beautiful and yet single. There are so many questions that ran through the heart and many pressures from family and friends. I just wanted to let them know that they are precious and valuable independently and to reassure them of their authentic self worth. And finally, a note to the family to celebrate their daughters/sisters as heroines and rare gems because soon they will be found by “noble” laureates and you won’t have close access to them.

THEMES: Some of the underlying themes of this poem are beauty, self-worth, royalty, virtuous, family pressure, etc

HER HEART ❣️

Like the King’s home street,
Her Heart is made of pure gold
Yet no miner wants to mine it
Is it because goldsmiths only buy raw gold?
Or she’s just too refined for a gold digger?

Her Dad has preserved her heart for a royalty
Because only true royalties cherish pure gold
Therefore, as a beloved daughter of God
No beast can come near her.

She’s a priceless princess
Her networth is the Son’s blood
She has already been purchased
Even before you were born
She has been predestinated by the King

She knows her rights but has given them up
From freedom fighter to freedom ambassador
Former rebel called this transformation
For this is no amnesty.

Her beauty
She’s like the lilies of the field
For wealth and wisdom isn’t to be compared with
She’s the lily of the valley
A lily among thorns trying to choke out her joy.

She’s the favor factor
For the diligent researcher who finds her
For there are many researchers
But only the inspirational ones become laureates.

Therefore, blessed is the man who finds her
Virtue is the blood that runs through her veins
See how she groomed her kid brother
Whose love for excellence and profound humility transcends
The cultural confinement of the world.

Oh earth, how blessed thou art!
For in thee dwells such an enigmatic
Simplification of the Godhead
A personified form of the glory, honor and splendor.

Hello family, celebrate your heroine and rare gem
A royalty deserving to be loved and cherished
Clothe her with royal apparel of love, faith and hope
For soon her noble laureate will find her
And forever you remain well-wishers and visitors!
