JESUS BECAME …..

  1. Because we can’t die for my sins and live again. JESUS Christ became my Substitute. He came, suffered and died for my sins. And now WE not just live, WE live the HIGHER LIFE
  2. Because the Law demanded that transgressors be punished. JESUS Christ became the Fulfilment of the Law by becoming the Punishment for my transgressions.
  3. Because the Prophets are limited in what they can see, hear and receive from the Lord for themselves and for me due to my burden of iniquities. JESUS Christ became my Burden Bearer. Now I am limitless in my access to revelations, secrets and knowledge of God.
  4. Because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away my sins. JESUS Christ’s Blood became the Perfect Sacrifice for my sins (Hebrews 10:4-18)
  5. Because I couldn’t obey the conditions of the Promises of God (Exodus 19:5-6). JESUS Christ became my Obedience by accepting the Father’s Will for Him to die on the Cross. Now I am the Promise of God (1 Peter 2:9)
  6. Because there is a limit to the information and secrets revealed to the servants. JESUS Christ became the barrier breaker and now calls me a FRIEND of God.
  7. Because my disobedience brought separation between man amd God. JESUS Christ became man’s ADVOCATE to bridge the gap by tearing up the veil to restore my relationship with God.
  8. Because I was poor and couldn’t work enough to get rich. JESUS Christ became poor so that I can be rich. He said to my poverty “IT IS FINISHED” 2 CORINTHIANS 8:9
  9. Because I couldn’t be perfect as the Father. JESUS Christ became the Perfect Image of God so that I can be perfect through Him.
  10. Because sin through disobedience took away the Peace & Presence of God in my life. JESUS Christ became the Prince of Peace and gave me an abiding Presence of God (in the Person of the Holy Spirit)

Thank You very much Jesus Christ for taking my place. I am forever grateful for Your Grace and Love.

Thank You for choosing to die for me to be redeemed from sins, iniquities, poverty, ignorance, disobedience, to live the higher life of purpose & identity, enjoy life to the fullest on this earth, and the greater Hope of Eternal Life with You after all said are done.

Happy Easter to you all.

I PRAY THAT THE LOVE AND GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BE MANIFESTED IN YOUR LIVES

THANKS AND JESUS BLESS!

LIFE AS A COMMUNITY LEADER

The past seven days have definitely been the busiest and most diverse days of my life. Yet they were very fulfilling because of the same things that made it busy. I both really enjoyed myself, had some great fellowship and learnt a lot of life-changing and insightful lessons. So for this write-up, I will be showing some of the places I went to, activities involved and lessons I learnt both in words and pictures. By the way, at least 90% of these pictures and “personal” information featured are only available here! Each lesson is unique. Stay tuned!

Saturday, 25th March 2017 – St John’s College Class of 2016/2017 Grad Dinner on Lombard Avenue, Winnipeg. for those of you who don’t know what SJC is. SJC is one of the founding colleges of the University of Manitoba along with St Boniface College and Manitoba College. SJC is founded on Anglican Tradition, and is older than Canada (you can read more here http://www.umanitoba.ca/colleges/st_johns/anglican/ ). SJC is a community of compassionate, unfeignedly loving and supportive people. They celebrate every significant achievement by every member of the College. I remember when I and few others received the University of Manitoba, Emerging Leaders Award 2015, SJC organised a Dinner to celebrate with us. They also offer thousands of dollars every year to students in scholarships, bursaries, grants and awards, to help students offset some of their financial burdens and focus on their Academics and Community involvements.

7 WAYS TO HAVE A FLOWING RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

 1. THROUGH THE WORD (HOLY BIBLE)

The Word of God(Holy Bible) is the Humanity’s Ultimate Constitution as it gives you God’s Blueprint or policy guidelines on how to start, build and maintain a sustainably flowing relationship between man & God (vertical relationship), and man & his fellow man (horizontal relationship). The Bible is not just for Christians.

The Bible is also a User’s Manual as it shows you the purpose for which the Manufacturer/Creator of man has designed man for, gives a full description of man including both the physical characteristics and intellectual, spiritual, emotional and supernatural abilities (Genesis 1:26-28). Gives guidelines on how man can utilize these inherent abilities and characteristics towards the realization of the purpose. And also, like every user manual, it tells you how to destroy the purpose for which humans were created.

Therefore, in order to have a flowing relationship/Fellowship with God, you need to study the Bible diligently and practice what you study.

2. THROUGH PRAYERS, PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING

Prayer is a medium of communication between humans and God. Communication is key to building a closer and bonding interpersonal relationship between lovers. The more you interact with God through prayers, the more He will reveal Himself to you and the better your relationship with God. This one of the reasons why Apostle Paul admonished us to PRAY WITHOUT CEASING (1 Thessalonians 5v17).

Also, taking time to thank and appreciate your partner/lover also sweetens the relationship.

3. THROUGH FELLOWSHIPPING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (SINGING & SPEAKING IN TONGUES)

Speaking and singing in tongue is speaking the language of the Spirit and therefore, communicating and fellowshipping directly with the Holy Spirit who is our Paraclete, Comforter and Revealer of all secrets. The more you fellowship with the Holy Spirit, the more He purifies you, reveal hidden secrets to and draws you closer to your purpose. No wonder Apostle Paul who wrote most of the New Testament books through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, rejoiced that he spoke in tongues than any other person because anyone speaking in tongues communicate directly with God, speaking mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2,18).

4. THROUGH FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER BELIEVERS (IRON SHARPENS IRON)

Jesus said that wherever two or more people are gathered in His name, HE is present in their mist(Matthew 18:20).

Also, the Bible says as “Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend [to show rage or worthy purpose](Proverbs 27:17 AMPC). So when believers meet: we learn, share our joys and challenges with, and encourage one another to keep pressing on and doing the Will of God. Therefore, fellowshipping with other believers is one sure way of having an enduring relationship with God.

5. THROUGH PRACTICING GOD’S PRESENCE

We should be conscious of the fact that God is present in everywhere we find ourselves. He’s El-Roi (the God that Sees – Genesis 16:13). Therefore, acknowledging the Omnipresence of God helped the Psalmist to praise and appreciate God, and ultimately foster a closer relationship with God. (Psalm 139:7-23)

6. THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF AGAPE

Agape (God’s Love) is the sole reason behind the redemption of mankind. Agape is a sacrificial love. It means “I SACRIFICE MY BEST JUST FOR YOU” and this is what Jesus said about the Agape of God “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16NKJV16NKJV).

According to Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 13), the practice of the Agape (GOD KIND OF LOVE) begins from the inside. It begins with the motives and reasons behind your words, walks & works. It has to be rooted and grounded in Christ Jesus. That’s why Paul says it is possible for someone to give his/her life as a burnt offering or sacrifice for others and yet profits nothing (v3) because his/her act is not rooted in Agape.

When you walk in love, you’re telling people that you are a legitimate Ambassador for Christ to because Jesus Christ is God’s LOVE SACRIFICE and “God is love” (1 John 4v8). Therefore, walking in love is a sure way of building and maintaining a flowing relationship with God.

7. THROUGH SPONSORING/PURSUING THE AGENDA THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR [RECONCILING THE SOULS OF MEN WITH GOD]

Witnessing the saving Grace and Love of God through Jesus Christ to people and ultimately soul winning (reconciling humanity with God) is the most important thing to heaven because that is the single purpose for the manifestation of the Agape of God – Jesus came, suffered, bled, died and resurrected just for the purpose of reconciliation. This why the writer of Proverbs 11 says

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And HE WHO WINS SOULS IS WISE “(Proverbs 11:30 NKJV). Wisdom, which is a gift from God is bestowed on soul winners.

Also, Jesus emphasising the importance of soul-winning in the Parable of the Lost Sheep concluded that “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” (Luke 15:7 NKJV). Study the description of heaven in the Revelation of John, and then visualize the awesomeness it is for you to be causing celebration in Heaven.

In conclusion, to have a flowing relationship with God, you need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by acknowledging that you are a sinner, confessing your sins and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior. Then begin to follow the above ways and your life will be filled with testimonies. It is my relationship with God that made Him reveal these secrets to me this morning (April 1st, 2017) and asked me to share with you all. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

WHAT IS THE ORIGINAL PURPOSE OF MUSIC?

So I published this note on my Facebook page ( Facebook.com/ChrisloveCGO ) on May 24th, 2016, which comes before I created this website. But this topic is far more relevant now than ever before. This is why I am sharing it here so you all understand my viewpoint and share your views too.
Music is a very powerful tool to reach out to the world. The devil himself was a gifted musician before pride made him fall. He was created with the necessary musical instruments, which means that he doesn’t have to learn it: in-built (Ezekiel 28:13). So he knows and understands the power of music. That’s why he has infiltrated the music industry with people, lyrics, and beats that glorify and are glorifying him.
Music is a language that transcends languages, a culture that transcends cultures and a unique tool with inter-generational impact.
It can be used to revolutionize people’s thoughts, beliefs, perspectives, and actions. Music can be used as a tool to tell personal stories, experiences or convey messages. Music never dies. It remains even after the musician is dead and far gone. That is why as Christians, we cannot afford to leave the music industry to the people of the world. We have to go into music, make great songs of inspiration, hope, faith, and return the gift of music to the originally intended purpose (to glorify God).
I will advise that Christians be involved in all genres of music in order to make the full impact. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Christians doing Hip-hop, R&B, Reggae, Spoken words, contemporary songs, etc. The issue is with the PURPOSE, the MESSAGE, and the GLORY. You need to ask yourself why I’m I doing this? What do I want people to learn from it? And who will this piece glorify?
These are some of the guidelines for our works, our services and our ministries as Christians (1 Corinthians 4:5). The goal is to encourage, inspire and strengthen the brethren in our journey towards the final destination (heaven), to praise God for His faithfulness, and to minister the saving grace and power of Jesus Christ to the lost souls. This means that ultimately, the glory belongs to Jesus Christ. The songs – lyrics and melodies should be written, composed and sung in ways and manners that glorify God.
The essence of music becomes defeated whenever it is targeted at glorifying anyone or thing other than the Almighty God.
It also implies that the targeted audience for a particular song or genre of music will vary depending on the purpose and message the song is conveying. That is, there are songs written and composed by Christians that are meant for the Church (body of believers) – in which case I would refer to as WORSHIP/PRAISE SONGS. Praise/Worship because the people already know and are familiar (usually in love) with Who you’re talking about (God). In this case, everyone has a background knowledge of what you’re singing and are able to flow freely.
There are also songs that are written and composed by Christians but are meant to be used to minister to unbelievers – these are MISSIONARY SONGS. These are a little different from the Worship/Praise Songs because you’re introducing something (Someone – Jesus Christ) new to the audience. One of the most effective ways of doing this kind of songs is sharing your testimonies or experiences (of how He helped or is helping you) in language that is easily understandable to the targeted audience (1 Corinthians 9:20-22 – “And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews;… I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some). You need to be very sensitive and careful so that you don’t end up being influenced in your attempt to “speak their language”. Do not compromise or lower the standard of excellence and godliness in the process.
A Church that restricts its members from going into say, Hip-hop music, will be very ineffective in reaching out to this generation. And will most likely breed a congregation of hypocrites – who will listen to “their kind of song” in the church but listen to different songs when outside the church. Creating “church playlist” and “non-church playlist”. This double-standard-life causes more harm and ultimately slows down the work of God. The more diverse and engaging we are in our writings and music, the wider our ability to purposefully reach out to this generation.
In conclusion, Christians should write songs that edify people and ultimately glorify God irrespective of the genre or categorization.

GRATITUDE

I have spent a lot of time trying to P.U.R.S.U.E goals that people created for me and working very hard to fit into their plans and agenda.

But since I began to read my User Manual (studying the Bible), I discovered that my Manufacturer (God) has designed a different purpose for me – something bigger and greater than I ever imagined. A life of excellence, love and widespread influence. Thanks be to God directing me to the path He has designed for me and helping me in conquering the challenges, fears, doubts, comfort, ignorance, mediocrity, etc. that are floating around and within me.

Therefore, it is time to start living my life so that I will be able to “leave a legacy of LOVE, HOPE and FAITH built on Humility and Excellence“. This I know (as revealed in the manual) that wouldn’t come easy neither is it cheap. It’s a costly lifestyle because I would be mostly left with the option of choosing the road less trodden. Needing a lot of perseverance, humility and trust in my Manufacturer. And so I make my user manual a close companion, constantly unlearning most of things that I have learned and been taught in the past to fit into their agenda. I will have to be grateful for everyday I am given to live, every obstacle/battle I am empowered to conquer and every opportunity I am privileged to have.

This makes me quite unfit for both the status quo and fitness tests set by others.

Because I ain’t fit enough for their fitness test I created my own fitness center

So for today, I am grateful for to God because I am now a BACHELOR WITH HONOURS

Thanks and Jesus bless!

THE LOVE AND THE EXPERIENCE

Throughout my 6-7 years of Primary School & 3years of Junior High, my BEST GRADE was 3rd position (that was just semester out of all while the second best was 9th position). The other positions 8 can’t remember because they were pretty far. Then throughout my Senior High (Secondary), my WORST GRADE was 3rd position. That was maybe once or twice while the rest were either 1st or 2nd positions.

The DIFFERENCE?

Simple – Jesus Christ, A Spirit-field house (my brother who doesn’t attend Christ Embassy allowed his house to be used for #CellMeeting or #HouseFellowship), An Excellent and Challenging Role Model ( Prince Gogogwute). Even though I wasn’t born again (in fact I used to despise members of LCCG esp & ignorantly because of #PrayingInTongues or #SpeakingInTongues Now I know better and feel like Bro Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:18) until I think my last year of High School, the #Grace was flowing, the challenge was getting intensed with every award that my brother brought home. Don’t it twisted, I was going to church all these while regularly especially on special occasions such as wedding, Christmas, Easter, etc because of the “incentives” but I didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This I know for sure is the condition of some of you reading this, you’re attending church & church programs but never had a relationship with Jesus Christ. I plead with you sincerely to do do so now. He will change your life and rewrite your history.

And for those of you that have allowed your house, phones, laptops and properties to be used for negative things/acts, you seriously need to make amends because there is always a trickling down negative effects on you. It may be the reason beyond your misfortunes. And as you know or may have heard “the harvest is always greater than the seed sown”.

The number and degree of Awards, favors, Love, Honours, Peace, Joy, Scholarships, opportunities and challenges that I have handled since I have a flowing relationship with Jesus Christ is unfathomable, unexplainable and far beyond my wildest imagination. Yet God is just warming up on my side.

THINKING MARRIAGE?

. . . . . THINKING MARRIAGE? . . .  . . .

Marriage is the bonding of two undissolveable and irreversible chemicals in which dissolution results in partial/total dysfunction of each chemical.

Therefore, do not seek marriage because of peer pressure (all my colleagues and friends are married), family pressure (oh all your younger sisters or brothers are married). Don’t even marry because of sex (you will be tired of sex). Some people think that when they marry, they will be able to control their sex hormones or quit flirting. In fact, inability to control yourself is an indication that you’re not ready for marriage. What happens when your spouse travels?
Marriage is not a research laboratory where you experiment on chemicals, and closed down when you feel you have achieved your goals.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO OPT-OUT option. Once you’re in, you’re in. One of the highest levels of ignorance that people are victims of when it comes to marriage even the supposedly highly educated ones is that divorce is a opt-out option in marriage. Ask the divorcee to objectively compare or share their life experiences before marriage, during marriage and after the divorce, and you will be terrified by an honest answer.

This is also the reason why you can’t marry everyone you fall in love with. Or because he/she’s wealthy, has awesome figures or packs, physical appearance or access to economic resources.

Marry someone who will help you fulfill your goals (I’m not talking about raising children here although it’s a great blessing). Before you think of marriage, you need to know and understand your purpose in life. Why are you on earth? How can getting married help you to achieve your goals, purpose or even speed up the process?

In conclusion, marriage is sweet, one of the most beautiful gifts from God but before you go into it, you have to have read the terms & conditions, pros & cons carefully with full understanding and be fully prepared for outcome.

THE NEW ME

This is a poetic recitation I was supposed to deliver sometimes in 2016 during the Annual Youth Conference as part of a group presentation but for reasons beyond my ability, it was possible. This is it in its unrefined form. Please read, be blessed, share and leave comments below!
I was created by God
But I didn’t know who He was
And why He created me.
So instead of working to know Him,
I was busy fighting against the One who made me live.
Each second He gave me to live, I lived it to fight Him
Fighting against the air I breathe each minute.
I believed so much lies that the only truth I ever believed was a lie.
Ignorance made me super proud of being a fool.
But rather than fighting back,
He told me that though my sins are as dark as scarlet,
He will make me white as snow.

So He sent His Only precious Son to die for my rebellion.

He conquered me in my rebellion

Now I am saved by His Love,
Redeemed by His GRACE, and
Called into a life of total freedom

Freedom from ignorance, sin and hatred.

Emerging from the depth of the ocean of sin.
A new creature just created by the Creator
Old things have passed away and all things have become new.
Now rather than condemnation, I got promotion
Rather than being any enemy, He calls me a son.
He poured out His Spirit upon me
He said to me, son arise and shine for thy light has come!
So now I am SHINING,
This is the NEW ME
Living in the New Covenant of LOVE!

CHILDREN AS OUR NEXT MINUTE LEADERS: THE PERSONAL REFLECTION OF A CHILDREN MENTOR

Volunteering as a Children Mentor has been one of my most fulfilling volunteer programs because it gives me the rare privilege of directly positively impacting the lives of our Next Minute Leaders™img_20170118_022413_738
Playing with and being around children is one of the things I do for fun. children are my favorite people on earth. No matter how stressful my school work and what’s going on in my personal life, I am always waiting for 3:45 pm to go meet with these super talented, brilliant & highly gifted children. Their quest for knowledge, leadership and athletic skills, and dedication/strong desire to contribute to the community in practical ways are overwhelmingly motivating.
For those who don’t know, “CanU is a Winnipeg-based charitable organisation that inspires hope and confidence in the leaders of tomorrow through its out-of-school mentorship and educational enrichment program for youth in Grades 5-12. Throughout the year, CanU Kids participate in a wide range of educational experiences on post-secondary campuses and develop their nutrition, health, academic, social, and leadership skills. CanU programs are designed and led by university student volunteers who are honing their leadership and community service skills. With a goal of inspiring hope and confidence, and empowering our kids to see possibilities and seize opportunities.” ( http://www.canucanada.org).

I started volunteering with CanU Canada in October 2014 (the program runs from October to March in each academic calendar). I had the privilege of mentoring kids from different ages, socio-economic, family and ethnic backgrounds. I also worked with CanU during Summer 2015 for the special program that was a partnership with Israel Idonije Foundation, Imagine Summer Leadership Program, in which I served as a role model to the kids in an ethical, professional, social and interpersonal relationship. picking up, travelling with and dropping off to The Price Companies, Red River College, University of Manitoba College of Pharmacy, Manitoba Museum, Get Out Of The Basement (GOTB), etc for professional training, skills acquisition and to widen their career choices.
And because I personally experienced the importance of having a humble & exemplary role model, I carry out my responsibilities with zeal,  passion, enthusiasm and love. My ultimate goal every volunteer day is to make sure that they are at least a 1000 times better youths/young adults than myself.
One of the major ways of carrying out these responsibilities is by using positive reinforcement: appreciating/celebrating the kids for every act of kindness, humility, leadership role, heroic acts such as giving up personal comfort to make the group as a whole more comfortable, taking initiatives, etc. Examples include: celebrating a child that opens the door for others; say THANK YOU to a caregiver cleaning the floor; say THANK YOU to an invested guest/instructor on behalf of the group, etc.
Also, I don’t focus on their mistakes or errors but rather empower them to do greater and more excellent things. Don’t allow them to settle for anything less but rather guide them to think that there are no heights that they can’t attain. Oh yeah, this is exactly where the organization name comes in CANU (the University of CAN), a place where U CAN achieve anything you want with passion, dedication, discipline, diligence, hard work and God’s help, irrespective of your family, socio-economic background). We see possibilities for every seemingly impossible situation, excellence in every mistake, and greatness in every weakness.
In addition, it is commonly said that “experience is the best teacher” and so I tell them my story of how though being born without a silver spoon, achieving mediocre grade, walking around without specific goal and ambition other than to become a local fisherman and floating around with “high ranking mediocre” become an award winning student. My life was transformed due to an excellent mentor (my elder brother PRINCE GOGOGWUTE), discipline, focus, hard work and God’s Grace. Now I have to be a little careful here because my life and all that I may think I have accomplished are much of God’s Grace, Love and Mercy than my personal efforts because I have been to places, interacted with people that ordinary personal efforts wouldn’t have qualified me. And so saying that my hard work earned me these will be equivalent to using someone’s work (in this case, God’s Grace) without acknowledging it. That’s PLAGIARISM at its peak. I don’t even want to start thinking about the punishment.
Finally, haven known from personal experience, observation and words of elders that children learn more by imitation. I strive for excellence in conducting myself within and outside the program, in my conversation with fellows and even social life (because these kids are smarter and can find you anywhere (wont be surprised that they’re reading this).
Over time, I get to see many of these children display these characteristics consciously and unconsciously. This is why I refer to Children as Next Minute Leaders™ because they learn, adapt and improve so quickly and smartly that they manifest what is being thought a few minutes after. Therefore, calling them leaders of Tomorrow is underestimating their learning and leadership abilities.
It is quite impressive seeing some of the children who were part of the Grade 5&6 program grow up to take up the responsibility of Junior Mentors, mentoring the younger ones (the current Grade 5&6 kids), working alongside university student mentors like myself by “introducing kids to the dream of post-secondary education” and volunteering at other schools.
One of my favourite days was the day that one of the children (now a Junior Mentor) said that she wants to take over the leadership/management of CanU Canada after Mr Roger Berrington (the Owner/Founder). So Mr Roger in his characteristic manner: always eager to see the kids take great initiatives, very motivating and passionately supportive, asked her to write him a letter explaining her intentions and what she plans to do. And to our immense surprise, she came back a few days later with the letter. Although I don’t have access to the content of the letter (which really doesn’t matter for this article), her passion and willingness to give back to the community and serve others are praiseworthy.

The Children are our Next Minute Leaders™ because they can learn, adapt and improve so quickly and smartly that they manifest what is being thought a few minutes after. Therefore, calling them leaders of Tomorrow is underestimating their learning and leadership abilities.
