I still write a verse

Though I may not be here to sing

Some really dont like to hear my voice

So I write for others to sing

I dont just write because I have a pen

I write to free his sheep from the pen.

𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏’𝒕 𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒏-𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏

I give them all poems for free to read

Yet they come with many questions

With answers all in the lines

Oh sorry, I just realized that you dont read

Maybe I should put it in music

"But the beats aren’t born-again."

𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒂𝒕𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈.

You want to know why

We are on our devices when you visit?

Because you have many life lessons to share

And we just need someone to listen

They may not really give us what we need

But at least they listen to what we have to say.

This is why when you ask how we are doing

Reply with “fine, thank God”

Because we know that’s what you want to hear

You are not really interested in how we are doing

But rather, just wanted to tick your checklist

And we have to support your ministry.

𝑰 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐.

You wonder why the artistes got more influence than our parents?

They show us that they can relate with our pains

And like the healthcare workers in the pandemic

They are our living heroes

Now I have shown you what we want

I hope that someday we can call you our heroes.
